Definitions

“Hotel”, “we” and “company” means Hotel MAF Haarlem B.V., Zijlstraat 62-64, 2011 TP Haarlem, The Netherlands.

“Booking” means the booking for accommodation, functions and/or any other services or items made with us.

“Contract” means the booking and these terms, and any other terms and conditions stated to apply to the booking.

“Terms” means these terms and conditions.

“Website” means www.hotelmaf.nl or any other website owned or operated by us relating to the hotel from time to time.

“VAT” means value-added tax.
General
These terms and conditions are between you (the guest) and Hotel MAF and apply to all bookings of hotel rooms and public spaces in the property. They are governed by Dutch law and may be subject to change at the time of booking or stay.
Bookings
When booking or at check-in, Hotel MAF will ask for your credit card details. By providing these, you authorize us to charge the card for any expenses incurred. In certain cases, we may require full prepayment and/or a deposit of €250.
Bookings are only valid for the number of guests confirmed. Unregistered visitors are not permitted in the rooms. Reservations must be made in good faith and may not be resold, transferred, or made fraudulently.
Hotel MAF is an adult-only hotel (16+). By booking, you agree that all guests are over 16 years old.
Payments
We are a cash-free hotel. Accepted payment methods include VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Maestro, and most digital cards.
At check-in, we will authorize your card for the accommodation charges and anticipated incidentals. All outstanding charges must be settled upon check-out.
Rates, City Tax & Tourism Fee
Rates agreed at the time of booking apply. Breakfast is included unless otherwise stated. Prices include VAT and service charges and are payable in euros.
City Tax is not included in the room rate. For 2025, Haarlem charges €6 per person per night. This may change between booking and your stay.
Cancellation, No Shows & Alterations

Best Available Rate (BAR): Cancel or amend free of charge up to 48 hours before arrival. Later cancellations or no-shows will be charged 100% of the stay.

Non-Refundable Rate: Cannot be changed or cancelled. 100% of the booking will be charged.
All cancellations and changes must be made in writing. Refunds (where applicable) are usually processed within 10 days.
Bookings made via third-party channels (e.g. Booking.com, Expedia) must be cancelled through those platforms.
Check-In / Check-Out

Check-in: From 15:00. Rooms are held until 23:59 for secured bookings, 18:00 for unsecured.

Check-out: By 11:00. Late check-out is subject to availability and may incur extra costs.
Guests must present valid ID and the credit card used for booking at check-in.
Early Check-Out
Early departures should be communicated before 14:00 the day prior to avoid late cancellation fees.
Accessibility
The hotel is located in a historic building without an elevator and is not wheelchair accessible.
Behaviour
Guests are expected to respect staff, fellow guests, and property. Disturbances or misconduct may result in removal without refund. Damage to artwork, furniture, or hotel property will be charged to the guest’s credit card.
Underaged Policy
Hotel MAF is adult-only (16+). Guests under 16 are not permitted. Valid ID is required at check-in. No exceptions apply.
Pets
Pets are not allowed, with the exception of certified assistance dogs. Please inform us in advance if applicable.
Non-Smoking
Hotel MAF is strictly non-smoking. Smoking inside the building will result in cleaning fees and/or penalties.
Parking
Hotel MAF does not offer private parking. Several secure parking garages are located nearby. Information is available prior to arrival.
Liability
Hotel MAF is not liable for theft or loss of personal belongings.
Damage
By booking, you authorize Hotel MAF to charge your credit card for any damages or missing items.
Unforeseeable Circumstances
Hotel MAF is not liable for failure to provide contracted services due to force majeure (natural disasters, war, strikes, governmental regulations, etc.).
Wi-Fi
Complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel. Network details are provided in your room and at reception. Access is provided without warranty. Misuse is prohibited.
Privacy
Personal information is processed according to our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy (available on request).
Lost & Found
Items left behind are registered and stored for three months. Shipping can be arranged at cost plus a €35 handling fee.
